2017-18 Ranking Survey

Year:
2017-18

The 2017 Ranking Survey results are now available. The survey asked each partner library to identify, in ranked order, its respective top three preferences from the resources nominated through the BC ELN Resource Forum.

The highest priority resources, as identified by the survey results, are:

  • Statista: The Statistics Portal
  • Academic Search Ultimate
  • (TIE) LGBT Life and Safari Tech Books Online

Twenty-seven libraries participated in this year's survey (see below for participants), for a response rate of 82%.

BC ELN will explore all four top-ranked resources for potential consortial licensing.

The Resource Forum and Ranking Survey are one of many avenues BC ELN uses to explore future licensing activities. As other opportunities present themselves, BC ELN will communicate additional options with partner libraries.

Ranked Titles:

The aggregated score is the sum of the points assigned by each partner library where a ranking of 3 (highest priority) is assigned a score of 3 points, a medium ranking is assigned a score of 2 points, and a ranking of 1 (lowest priority) a score of 1 point.
